Do I need solar panels to have a battery?

No. A home battery works on its own by storing cheaper off-peak electricity and using it at peak times. Add solar as well and the battery stores what your panels make during the day, so you get more from both.

How many panels will I need?

It depends on your roof and how much electricity you use. We work that out at the survey and size the system around your actual usage rather than selling you more than you need.

Do solar panels work in winter?

Yes. They generate less on short, dull days than in summer, but they still produce power year round. A battery helps you make the most of what you generate.

Do you install battery storage on its own?

Yes. We fit home battery storage with or without solar, so you can start with a battery and add panels later, or the other way round.
